NEW CHALLENGE - - - $5NL/1 MILLION HANDS/WIN $5,000

So I have been pretty annoyed by poker as of late. With the changes to Full Tilt being a complete joke. Some how they change the Rake system so everyone but HU players and SNG players take a pretty significant pay cut! They say they are coming out with some "Player Friendly" updates sometime in January. We shall see about that.....lol.

That being said I decided to do a crazy challenge. I was over at my buddies and was so sick of the game that I told him I was going to play strictly $5NL for 1 million hands. That's right, blinds of $.02/$.05. I figured I could 16 table playing 1200 hands an hr. That being said I should get to my goal after about 835 hr of play or so. Which if I play 16hr a week I can get done in 1 year. The over-all idea was to win at a rate of a minimum 10bb/100. If I can do that I can get to my $5000 goal. Not sure anyone in the world has won $5000 at $5NL let alone play 1 million hands at the level.

An outside goal would be to win at a 12bb/100 rate which would push my winnings to $6000. Either way I think this challenge should be pretty fun. I should earn about 70k full tilt points in that time as well which is worth about $300. Make about $800 in RakeBack and maybe clear about $2k in bonus and possible reloads............Crazy to think maybe get close to making $10,000.

I plan on updating once a week with a graph and possibly some stats.

Well I have not posted in over 10mos.............mainly because of being lazy. Tonight I am going to start and couple of pretty big grinding sessions with my buddy Darrin. I figured this is as good as a time ever to start posting again. I plan on a 8 hr session tonight and 12 hr session tomorrow! Should put in about 15,000 hands in the next two days. I will post my results a long with other mumbo jumbo later!

THE VIKINGS, 45 MAN SNG'S, AND RUSH POKER!

Well I will start off my post talking about the Minnesota Vikings! If you are vikings fan like have been my entire life you how big this game is this up coming weekend! I am hoping that this is the year! I ended up going the game in the Dome vs the Cowboys. I have a ton of pics and even a couple of videos but for some reason I cant get them loaded on here.........oh well! Any who gl Vikes as you embark on an NFC championship!

So I have about 73 $11 45 man SNG's under my belt now and I feel really good about they way things are going. My overall style fits very well for these things and I think I have always been a really good Shove/Fold player! Check out my result below!

Also Full Tilt has a new game called "RUSH POKER". For the multi-table grinder it is pretty awesome. It allows you to play 4 tables then if you want to quick fold it rushes you to a new table. The cool thing is it lets you keep your stack size thus making for some really good deep poker! I lost a 405bb pot with set over set...........which is a crazy cooler for a 100bb game!

SIT N GO FUN......TOPS OFF A CRAZY WEEK!!

Well this has sure been one crazy week! And it will all end with Me and couple of Buddies going to the Minnesota Vikings Playoff game! We are heading down to the Cities here in about 7 hrs and staying DownTown at the Hyatt! Should be a great time!

Getting back to the start of the Week..........on Tuesday I was heading to work and some guy in front of me slams into a Rav4 going 30 mph. Obv I am only about 2 car lengths behind him and have 0% chance of stopping!! So his hitch goes thru my bumper, pushed the Radiator into the Fan, and the Fan crushes the Air Conditioning compressor! OMG..........running bad! Yeah so I guess I am at fault since I rear ended him.........go figure! Ends up being $1050 in damage that I pay out of my own pocket due to me having Liability. The guy claims to have a scratch on his bumper and my insurance pays him $88. $88........really...........what a joke! So yeah super excited to pay the $1050 to fix my 99 Chevy cavalier that is worth about $2k! Go me!

Well I decided to play some SNG's just to change it up! I actually somewhat enjoyed 9 tabling $11 45 man. I ran pretty damn bad in all in equity as you can see by the charts below. But somehow I managed to Cash 4 of the 17 times and make some $. I am going to play theses for awhile and see how they go. Not sure if I can expect the 35 ROI I am running at but we shall see.

Other then me getting a 37" LCD TV with 195,000 fulltilt points this month has not been going so great! With the amount I have played I would like to be up around $900.........but things have not really fallen into place. For the most part I have run into some really bad spots, had some coolers, and played bad at times as well. Even given the situations if I was playing my A game I should still be up around $500. Well lets hope things can turn around the 2nd half of this month! Pretty sad if I make anything less the $1k for the month.

PLAY BAD + RUN BAD = DOOM SWITCH!!

Well So much for 2010 starting off super hot! My last 4500 I have got absolutely crushed/owned! When reviewing all my hands it really is a combination of things that have lead to this 7 buyin downswing. 1st, in my opinion it starts with running bad in all in equity and getting a few coolers. From there my game slips into about a "C-" as for as overall wellness of play. Then I start playing too many hands out of position and somewhat force things. Getting away form solid starting hand requirement can be a huge leak...........J7 and 85s on the button just are not that much of value. It pretty much came down to me playing 10 hands really really bad that cost me $133. Then top that with running about $183 bad in all in equity. Top that with a couple of coolers...........and it does not take long to be down 7 buyins. I really feel if I was playing my best poker I could have held this downswing to around -3 buyins or so! I really need to keep a close eye on things when they start to slip. The game seems so easy on the huge up swings and so so tough on the down swings. Well below are my stats!

Well I am off and running in 2010! Put together another pretty solid session and a couple big wins getting in racing! As far as today goes............pretty much slept till 6pm. Katie and I were planning on going to the Mall but come to find out it's closed! Really on New Years? Go figure! So we then hit up Culvers and did a little shopping at Walmart! After that we came home a watched "Paranormal Activity". Imo that movie was put together very very well! The actors really seemed to be "acting" normal, like people would do if they tried recording that stuff! Creeping ending and what not! Very entertaining to say the least!

GREAT START TO A NEW YEAR! (SEASON STATS)

Well Happy New Year everyone! Hope everyone had a fun and safe Holiday season! Well I sure hope 2010 goes as well as my 1st session of the year went!

So I guess as the norm I should set some goals and what not. From experience I usually notice I don't always up hold on my goals. That's okay I guess as long as my year was somewhat productive and not a complete waste of time. So here are some minor goals for 2010.

Have financial freedom by May. (This meaning I have no Bills outside living expenses)
Play @ minimum 60 hrs of Poker/month. (That should be an extra $1300/mo in income.)
Start P90x on Jan 4th and complete the program by April 3rd.
Run the Fargo Marathon in May with my 3 buddies. (We all put up $500 and the winner gets all. I feel I have a huge edge in this bet. For one, 2 of the guys will probably not even train or do the race. Second, I have prior military training, all be it 10 years ago. But I have done things like this, I know what I am capable of!! Really the only one I feel will run the race with me is Ryan. So yeah, gl guys!)
Work on my golf game and get back to the level I was while playing in College. Plus 3 handi cap...........here I come!
Enjoy life with my girlfriend Katie and grow as a couple.

Well this weekend I had my Bday party @ the Hub in Fargo. A lot of friends and co-workers showed up and it was a really good time. I ended up drinking way too much and having way to many shots! But I survived the night and felt great when waking up to watch the Vikings game. My gf Kaite however did not fair so well! But the day was not a total loss as I had a really solid tournament score in the Silver Iron Man $15k. I ended up getting 3rd for $825.

So once again I have not posted for a couple months! :( I always find some way to be lazy or fine a reason not to post. Well where do I start?

I guess I could start by talking about last month. I ended up playing over 62,000 hands last month and all pretty much for nothing (other then rake back). I think I lost about $75 or so but did make around $1000 in rake back. I played a ton of different games............from $.50/$1 6 tabling to 15 tabling $.50/$1 CAP games to $50 NL. The only time I think I really beat the game is 4 tabling. As you can see below $50NL is def my game. One would think I could beat $100NL but I just don't think I stick to my plan. I end up playing like 8 tables against all grinders and playing marginal at best.

So this month I will play $50NL and continue to build my bankroll. I will try to update as often as possible given it's my B-day coming up and the Holidays.

LONG TIME........

Well where do I begin??? A lot has happened since my last post 3 mos ago! Poker is going pretty good for the most part! I have taken a stake from my buddy Ryan to play $.50/$1.......Our deal is for me to play 50k hands at that level and we just chop winnings and rake. I started off sorta bad/playing bad and was stuck 15 buyins the 1st 15k hands. Just to get my senses back I moved back down to $50NL and have won most of it back including rake. Oct 1st seems to be a good time to start back up again on the staking deal!

On another note I have been playing a little golf as of late. Hitting the range and what not! Shot under par finally my last few rounds......not sure it counts playing Rose Creek and Village Green but whatevs.........

Any who I just want to do a shout out to Dave Schultz.........a NationWide tour play and Fargonian! He is playing some awesome golf and is on the brink of making the PGA tour! He is currently 21st on the money list and the top 25 get their PGA tour card. He literally has only played in 1/2 the events too! Best of luck Dave.......

So yeah I just got done completing one of the sickest session of my life! I actually got in 10,000 hands in one day! Well as some of you know we had another crazy blizzard on Tuesday! Well over-all this weekend was pretty enjoyable. I played a ton of poker, Spent quality time with the g/f, and met some new friends along the way! So Saturday night Heidi and had a very enjoyable night! We ended up grabbing some dinner at Big D's. The food there is really really good! The thing about Big D's is many people don't even know about their food, they only go there for their drink specials! So after dinner we headed to a movie, (NEW IN TOWN) which is about this boss lady who moves from Miami to Minnesota! Pretty funny actually! After dinner we headed out with some friends and hit up some of the hot spots in the FM area. If you count Bucks and Mr G's hot spots!?!?

As far as poker goes.........I had a very busy weekend! Over-all this weekend I played 12,500 hands and won over 20 buy-ins! I am over 1/2 way thru my 30k hands at $5NL playing 15 tables! I must say, this weekend was some of the most fun I have ever had playing poker!! I really enjoy 15 tabling so far! I also got 50th in the $20k for $70. Of course I get semi deep and my QQ runs into KK! Well that's all for now!

15 TABLE EXPERIMENT!?!?

Well it has been a week since my last post! I have decided to give a new experiment a try. I am going to be 15 tabling at various levels through out the month. I have started at $5 NL. Yeah blinds are $.02/$.05. LOL. I will be playing 30k hands at each level just to get a feel for playing 15 tables overall. So I have started at $5NL will move up to $10NL, then $25NL.......and finally $50NL. I am way over bankrolled for these levels but it will def be fun to do. I started yesterday and put in a 7k hand session in 6 hrs and had the most fun playing poker I have had in a very long time! So yeah I will keep this experiment up and see how it goes!

Well the end of another month is upon us! Over-all some great things have happened to me during this month. 1st I started dating my amazing girl friend Heidi. Heidi has more influence in my life then she probably realizes. I cannot even begin to explain how great it is to have someone in my life that understands the things that are important to me. I am truly bless to have her as my g/f! Thanks for all you do for me and us Heidi!

I also stated tracking what I eat in a Calorie tracking program by everydayhealth.com. It is amazing to see how many cal a person eats when they start writing it down. I am also in the process of working out. The program I am re-starting is called P90x and if you know anything about this program...........you know that its one tough program. So I am really looking forward to March to see some improvements in the health dept!

Well overall poker was pretty crazy this month. I still managed to make $21.02/hr which is really good considering how many swings I went through. Wish me luck in March! Check out all my stats/graphs below:

FEBRUARY STATS

HEALTH, WORKING OUT, AND CRUSHING NOOBS!

So today I started a Calorie Tracking Program to see what I am really eating and what I need to work on to be in better shape. The software is from EveryDayHealth.com. I have set up a goal of 1800 Cal per day while burning between 2200-3000 depending on my fitness program. If I can burn 500 more Cal per day then I intake I can safely lose 1 lb a week and get back down to my Ideal weight. Don't get me wrong, I am not that big of guy (5'8" 175lbs) but just know I am getting out of shape and would like to lose 10 or so lbs before gaining weight from muscle, which P90x will definitely do! Well here is my 1st day above. Check it out:

Like I said above I have re-started the P90x workout to get in the best shape of my life! I am in the process of getting all the equipment together so the complete daily routine won't start tell next Monday! With a good dietary plan and strict workout program I should be able to get the results I am looking for! Wish me luck!

FINALLY A WINNING SESSION!!

Welcome to Tuesday! A few big things going on right now in the world and in my life. First I will talk about some world issues. President Obama gave his Presidential Address tonight mostly on the Economy and how the new stimulus package is suppose to help us out. He also talked about Energy conservation and ways to keep from have to import so much oil. He talked about Health care and how we can no longer wait to reform. Finally he talked about Education and how we need to find ways to send our kids to college! he says by 2020 America can lead the world in children graduating college! Lets hope he is right! Regarding the Economic woos he had this to say:

"Tonight I want every American to know this: We will rebuild, we will recover, and the United States of America will emerge stronger than before."

He Definitely is one of the best speakers we have had in a long time! He is also doing pretty good in the polls with over 68% approval rating..........one of the higher approval ratings in a long long time! It will sure be interesting to see what this country is like in a year!

Well I started the P90x workout regiment again! O man is it tough! Let me tell you, I did some pretty hard stuff in the Army and this program ranks right up there! I did Plyometerics today which is about 55 min and burns near 1000 cals. So yeah, wow great work out! Lets hope I can keep it up this time!

Well I finally had a winning session in poker. Let me tell you it was not easy however. I pretty much kept losing all-in and was even until about the last 200 hands where I went on a sick run of just crushin noobs! Just nice to book a win!

DOOM SWITCH SINCE ACCOUNT HACKING!

Wow not sure really where to begin with this post!?!? I guess I will get you up to speed since my account got hacked! So yeah thank goodness they caught the guys who hacked my account. They ended up giving me my funds back on Sat plus a $600 reload bonus that I get to clear! In the mean time I had my brother ship me $400 just so I could play! Get to that later! This weekend I had some good quality time with the g/f. Thursday night we went out for her brother bday and had a really good time! I ended up drinking too much and probably was a little annoying, since Heidi was not drinking much at all. Friday night Heidi and I went out to dinner with some friends. Me, Heidi, Ryan, and Nirosh decided on going to Timer Lodge.............very good food! So the bill ended up coming to around $125 so Ryan and I decided to flip for it! Of course I own him in flips and ended up winning this one again, SHIP SHIP!......its about all I won this weekend! Saturaday Heide and I went to the movie, "He's just not that into you." Very good flick and very funny! Sunday we pretty much just chilled and watched movies and Monday we went out for lunch to the good ole Fryn' Pan! Good stuff! The weekend was very fun but went by very fast!

So yeah after my account got hacked my brother shipped me $400 to play and I agreed to send him 20% of the profit. This is where my horrid down swing begins. I ended up dropping 7 buy-ins and 4 buy-insin the last 1hr HU...........where I got it in good ever frickin time! Annoying! I will post some hands here and check out the graph below! GROSS!

FULLTILT POKER ACCOUNT HACKED

Wow talk about a crazy day. So I come home form work and try to log into Full Tilt to play a quick session before my g/f and I go out to eat and buy a desk. So I try to log in and yeah...........cant. Full Tilt tells me to contact their support. So I check my email and find out there are 3 transfers from my account are unauthorized. WOW...........really!?!? So I email them and then go out to dinner. I come back to find out my entire back rolled hand been dumbed by hackers in around 200 hands.........Yeah I even got to watch them on Table Ratings! Gross I know! So yeah I guess Full Tilt saved almost all of my funds and is in the process of putting them back into the account. WOW. I guess I could have had some Keylogg virus or some spy ware that got my passwords. Well lets hope that is all taken care of now! Talk about frickin scary! Well I had to go back to the J O B today! Eeeeek! Not much going on at work other then trying to get in contact with customers and do as much cross selling as possible! So yeah Heidi and I made plans to have dinner on Friday with a buddy and his g/f. Should be a pretty good time. It seems sad that this is a highlight in my week but him and I were joking how we are getting old and something like this actually seems kind of fun! Wow, little different from the days when all we did was go out and get drink it up! Other then that I have a few things planned for this week! Thursday is Heidi's brothers birthday! Pretty sure we are all going to the HUB and party it up there! Friday is that dinner like I said. Saturday I don't really have anything planned but the weekend is usually mine and Heidi's time! Valentines Weekend, Time with the g/f, and big poker swings!

Well I have not written on here since Friday due to being super busy with Valentines Weekend and hanging out with the g/f. 1st off we will start with this weekend! Well it was Valentines weekend and time for couples to get together and for single people to get sad..............Heidi ended up getting me some awesome things for Valentines day. I got a North Carolina Hoody to go along with my North Carolina break away wind pants. I got a new pair of AE jeans a long with a Hollister shirt and a sweet Aeropostale collared shirt! Thanks for everything babe! I ended up buying her a 24Kt. Gold over sterling bracelettle and dinner. We then went to my brothers band "Strange Faces". They were playing in Glyndon and wow was there ever a good turn out! We ended up drinking the nightaway and even enjoyed some drama at the end of the night as some of our friends got into a little spat! So Sunday Heidi and I just chilled and watched some movies and got some pizza. Today was pretty relaxed too, other then trying to help a buddy get $2k from an ex girlfriend! My goodness for people! Who steals $2k......really! On the poker side I was stuck about $200 before Monday came around.................due to playing just God awful! FRIDAY THE 13TH.......Oooo I STILL RUN GOOD!

Well today I did not get home until about 12:30pm. Ended up crashing at a buddy's after the bar last night! So I come home and play a few hundred hands and end up winning a little over a buyin! After that little session I ended up meeting a buddy out for lunch! Yummm... Hi Ho specials........so so good. I did however end up losing the flip for the bill! Eeeek, can't win them all! After dinner I came back and put in a few hundred more hands! I started off running like just god again and at one point was up 9 buy-ins (3 buyins for this session) over my last 1300 hands. I then took a couple of coolers and cooled off to end the session up a little over two buyins! Over all I am really happy with the way my life is running right now! Poker is out of control this month as I a up 14 buyins in 6.5k hands! I also have an amazing g/f Heidi! To have a g/f that understands things that are important to me is a huge relief! Well today was just an over-all sickly good day! I ended up getting in around 800 hands and ran like just God. Not in all in equity but just in situations and donks completely paying me off with junk! I ended up around 6 buy-ins which is pretty crazy given I played less then 1k hands! Also cracked the $2k mark already this year playing$50NL. Almost winning 1 buy-in a day! After playing I went over to my aunt and uncles who I have not seen in years! It was a really good time.........she (my aunt Bev) ended up having some old Fargo Forum papers from back about 3 years ago when I use to know how to play golf and was in the paper all the time! So we reminisced about those good ole days! After that my brother and I headed to Glyndon to play in our Thursday poker league! LOL...............yeah pretty much a joke but non the less a very good time! Again of course I get all in with JJ vs A9 with 7 players to go...........if i win the pot I have 7.1k in chips and the avg was about 4300. Kind of typical of how I run there! Guy turns an A, imagine that! So after poker league I met my buddies Eide and Sully at the Holiday Inn where they were playing BJ..............after a few drinks there we headed to the HUB and I ran into my regular crew! Well tonight begins my 5 day weekend! It will be very nice to have off until Tuesday! I am hoping to get in very many hands of poker this weekend! As you can see this 1k hand session started off kind of down.....around 2 buy-ins down........but given my crazy style this can happen quite often. Very easy to go on huge upswings as well as you can tell by the 2nd half of the session. I had some very interesting hands and very good spots! Not sure if I have ever been on a swing like I had today! The day started off just horrible. In the 1st 800 hands I was stuck +5 buy-ins! What happened next may not happen for a long long time! I proceeded to win almost 8 buy-ins in the next 600 hands................to end the day up 3. I was lucky enough for a guy to drop 11 buy-ins in 183 hands at my table...........and 4 of them were to yours truly! I even lost a 400bb pot when I called his all in with AJ and he woke up with AQ!

So one of my buddies talked me into putting some monies on Ultimate Bet. I am finding out that what he said may just be true! "The players on UB are really bad!" 1st I will start off by talking about UB and how crazy it is! UB along with AP (Absolute Poker) have been in some trouble for recent scandals. Because of this not many good players play there.......not anyone that keeps up on online poker that is. So who does play there then? Well mostly fish! Any who so UB and AP joined forces and are basically the same site with the same players. At peak hrs they will have 22k players online vs 80k on fulltilt........so about 1/4 the business. So UB got a new software provider called "Cerus" From what I read Cerus is suppose to be pretty good! The crazy thing about UB is it now stores hands like AP used to do. So when tracking them on poker tracker you acutally have to auto import from AP...........which is pretty funny! So in general is it pretty hard to track hands and thus use PAHUD and track players! This is an advantage to me because for some odd reason I like to try and figure this shit out! So below is a screen print of what I actually had to do to track hands on UB!

CASHOUT PROBLEMS!

The next issue in the poker world is trying to cash out your money! I have always used ACH's and had the poker site just direct deposit my funds into my checking account. Well below is an email I got from FullTilt just the other day!

The result? I am now set up to receive checks in the mail! 2009 and still have to get paper checks!

TOURNAMENT TIME!

Okay so today I decided to play a few tourneys and give the $11 45 man sng's a try. Pretty annoying actually. I ended up play 20 tournaments and 18 of them being the 45 man sng's. I played pretty well just did not get the results I was looking for. I made 7 final tables out of the 18 I played which is pretty sick I think. Once I got to the final table however it was different story. Out of the 7 final tables I got called on my all-ins 11 times. Only 1 of those times was I completely dominated. So out of my 11 all-ins I only managed to win 2. Gross, 2 of 11 when most of them were 40/60, Coinflips, or me having them just crushed! The 2 I won was obv in the tournament I took 2nd place in! O yeah and by the way I made a total profit of $2! Yippy!

SO SO DAY.....NOT MUCH MOTIVATION!

Well for awhile today my heater carried over form yesterday...........and at one point I was up 4 buy-ins! Just pretty much getting carded and running over people! Then the day got kind of crazy. I lost 4 pretty big all-ins in a row.........I was 60/40 or 50/50 in most of them......O well it happens. Then I went on a little mini heater to get some back. I ended up getting sucked out a few times at the end to end the day up about 1 buy-in. Below are my daily graphs/stats and some fun hands!

Almost everyone of these all-in and calls are based on prior villain knowledge. I am pretty crazy aggressive at times and really get people off their games. Given that the calls and plays are pretty standard IMO.

Little Swingy Day

Well today was sort of a crazy day! Started off being stuck about 2 buyins. Ran into a couple of coolers and lost a 200bb flip with A10 of hearts on a Q42 with two hearts.

Well below are my Dec stats and my overall graph. Also I played 8 tourneys today and am really running bad. I don't usually claim to run bad but this is getting gross. Along with getting card dead at my final table. Yeah...........

So here are 3 of the hand where I got knocked out!

HAND 1 5 outed at final table with 6 players to go. I lost a big hand before this hence the 5xbb stack.

Okay so I have been really horrible with this blog thing and trying to keep up with any goals! As far as the Challenge goes? I have no idea. If I had to guess I might be 1/3 of the way there!

Since I have not posted since sometime in July I will let you know what has been going on since then! Lets start with my job. Starting in Sept I took a position as a personal banker! I can say working with people and their finance has been really joyful! The market is, as you probably know absolutely horrid! I am hopeful by this time next year we will start seeing some improvements in your economy! As far as the ladies goes..............well I have had a couple of g/f since my last post......nothing more then a couple of months! My lifestyle probably is not best fit for being in a relationship right now! Ha Ha! But I can say, the future looks bright! As far as poker goes........well the Krew 316 has pretty much went all our own way! We still keep in touch and set up session every now and then. We have moved from the house for few reasons...........main two are the internet and how bad it was and the weather..........yeah 15 below zero and 15 miles out of town was not good!

Well that's pretty much all I have time for now...........I am hoping to start posting stuff on twoplustwo and start playing more!

Ok so it has been 1 week since I started my challenge of trying to post info everyday. So far so good! In the last week I have played 8k hands and won around 10 buy-ins. Overall I am pleased with my play except for maybe a couple of hands where I called off light or made bad calls. Below are some of my biggest wins and biggest loses.

TOP 5 WINNING HANDS:

HAND 5 Get in as a 87% fav for a 206 bb pot.

HAND4 Can't believe this guys stacks off with 88 here for 212 bb pot.

HAND 3 Nice to get in preflop with AA vs AK for 233 bb.

HAND 2 Here is set vs over pair, typical stuff but nice for 258 bb.

HAND 1 Kind of a crazy hand 3 way. Not sure if I am head here ever but in this case I was 42% to win on the flop. The guy with A10s is actually a fav over me. Nice 301 bb pot.

HAND 3 Bluff gone bad. Not fun to bluff a flush when player you are bluffing has it. LOL

OK, so now this is getting kind of ridicules. I have not posted in like 2 weeks and feel like I need to start doing so to stay motivated. SO TODAY IS THE START!! I have finally started playing $50NL with a bankroll of around $1200. Starting tomorrow 01/20/08 is I will try and make a post every day of my PT stats. This will be a running total from 01/20/08. Well sorry it has been almost 3 weeks since I last updated. Sorry to the 20 or so people that actually read this! Any who my buddy Ryan has been giving me shit as of late, telling me how lazy I am. As for posting on this blog, well that's true! However I have been playing a lot of poker lately. I played so much that I am getting $358 back in rake playing $25NL.

So since it is a new year I have decided to set some goals and really work on improving my game this year! Below is a list of things I hope to accomplish in 08'.

Play on avg 30k hand a month. I have now decided to 4 table as this increases my PTbb/100. So this should be about 20 hr a week!

Be playing .25/.50 by Feb 1st. I am going to start this with a $1300 bankroll not counting the $358 I am getting back in rake. So really I need to reach about $1700 before I move up.

Be playing 1/2 by the end of the year!

Go to Vegas and enjoy all that it has to offer!

Start a work-out/acceleration program to improve my golf game!

Make 2x as much per hr playing online poker as I do at my Job!

These are just some goals I really think I can achieve.

23k HANDS, UP 28 BUY-INS AT $25NL

Well its been about 14 or 15 days and I have put in 23k hands. I will be really close to reaching my goal of playing 50k hands and making $1500 at $25NL this month. With rake back I am almost sure to make $1500. So far I have went on a couple of heaters as you can tell by the spikes in my graph. Today was pretty sick as I played 3k hands and won 6 buy-ins. Guess that happens since I played almost 6k hands before that breaking even. The crazy thing is I have only put in 37 hrs and made $700. Not a bad rate of $18.63/hr playing miro limits! Well wish me luck!

FIRST 20k HANDS AT $25NL (12 DAYS OF PLAY)

Well below is a graph of my 1st 20k hands. The last 3 or 4k hands have been kind of tough but I got through them. One thing after running a report is I am not flopping sets at a normal pace. Each set I flop makes about $7.47 at $25NL. I have flopped 95 after seeing 974 flop with pocket pairs. Law of averages says I should have flopped 114 sets on avg by now. that's 19 sets short at $7.47 a set. Yeah that's over $140 in lost value. Well I am sure around the 50k hands mark it will even out. We shall see. Wish me luck!

Well over the last 9 days I have been avg playing 3 hrs a days. Usually 9 tabling! I have finally gotten in 16k hands after 26hrs of play. Not too bad to avg $19.40 an hr playing $25NL. Below are some stats and a graph of my progess! My goal is to play 50k hands this month and make over $1500 at $25NL. Wish me luck!

I guess I never flop sets! I am only about 20 behind. And wow my AA is getting crushed by KK. Wait until I start flopping sets!

Well yeah, so its been awhile since my last post. After my last post I got crushed HU to the tone of 7 buyins, running around -$500 in all in equity. So I took my shot, got crushed and am now back on the grind. So far so good. Over the last 3 days I have been 9 tabling at $25NL and have been doing pretty good. Well I am really starting to get a feel for HU. Today was a pretty solid day as I only lost one big race and then took one really bad beat to end my session. Overall I am very happy with my play. Below are some of my sick calls and my one bad beat. After that are today's stats along with my 3 day totals at HU.

SICK CALLS:

HAND 1 Only a $5.70 pot but none the less, still a good call with Q10 high.

HAND 2 This is actually a pretty tough call with top pair and no kicker for $55.50 pot.

HAND 3 My call here with a pair of 9's is really good, getting 3 to 1 odds for a $20.50 pot.

HAND 4 Here I call turn to bluff river.......then make a sick call for a $53.50 pot with a pair of 8's.

Well I finally took a shot at HU. Playing $.50/$1 with 6.5 buyins is a little scary but I have a couple friends who I think would stake me if it got bad. Anyhow so my first day and I run about as bad as you possibly can. Check it out below;

Well I finally am running good along with playing good. I am on a streak now of 5 strait cashes. I also played $1/$2 NL HU with my buddy Darrin. We sat down with $119.70 to look like a donk putting up their entire bankroll. In a matter of 30min we were sitting with $520. It was a really nice run! Anyway check out my stats below. Well I have really been running horrid as of late. I ended up getting sucked out on 4 or 5 all-ins where I had my opponent drawing to 3 outs or less. This ended up being a blessing in disguise. I called my brother up and asked if he wanted to go have a couple of drinks and play some BJ. So I ended up donkin off about $40 play BJ while watching the Redsoxs dominate the Rockies. Anywho I came back from the bar hoping my luck had changed now that the World Series is over. So I sit in a $5 45 tourney and get KK UTG first hand..............so with all the donks I plan to limp reraise all in first hand................so I limp................donk in middle position pots it (perfect so far)...........get one caller (not a clue what he is doing)...............so I just insta shove when it gets around to me for $1500............donk insta calls with JJ.................wee my plan worked perfectly..................ahh shit nope.........flop comes J9Q..................gg Mimicry!

So I decided to play some deeper stacked poker and play in the $5 90 man Double Stack! Also played in the $5 284 man tournament...............This is where the fun begins.

VARIANCE, DEEP MTT PLAY, AND MEETING PEOPLE ONLINE

Well since my last post some variance has really kicked in. Maybe I was running HOT early and now I am leveling out to normal or maybe I am just running really really bad. Either way it's to early to tell. I have played 233 online tourneys and have an over-all ROI of 28%. This is pretty solid I think but far from my 50% I was at.

For the 3rd strait day I get fairly deep in the Midnight Madness $11 Tourney. Usually this tourney has about 1500 players and pays the top 216. So yet again I get to around 150th or so and lose a big race. One of these days I am going to run normal and just crush that tournament. Maybe tonight! LOL.

While playing last night I ran into and met this guy named Brandon who attends Miss State. After talking to him he asked if I knew who is best friend was. He stated that his friend is an instructor for Cardrunners. Find out his best friend is Brian Hastings. Brian is known as "STINGER885" and is a cash game/MTT tourney specialist. It's is funny what online poke does and who it brings you in contact with. I hope to talk with Brandon a lot as talking poker is something I really enjoy.

FIRST 20 DAYS, CHEATING, AND THE FUTURE OF ABSOLUTE POKER?

Well I have just completed my first 20 days of playing the 45 man MTT's. Starting with the $5 buy-ins and moving up to the $10 buy-ins. Through the first 179 I continue to run pretty well. I take bad beat all the time but the one consistent thing I do do is always get my money in ahead. Well like 80% of the time anyway! I have started to wonder if 50% ROI is maintainable at these type of tourneys. The In the Money % is pretty common for good players at 22%. I hope by the end of the month to be playing the $20 tourneys.

Yesterday I found out that Absolute Poker may have had players cheating on their site. What kind of cheating? Well lets just ask, "How would you do if could see someone else's whole cards?" That's right, someone at AP may of hand a super user account with the ability to see other players whole cards. If you are interested in finding out more info check out this follow link: POKER CHEAT. Take if for what you will, but once the HH comes out it will be pretty obvious in my opinion. (If not already). So at this time I have dropped my affiliation with AP. I suggest that if you have money on that site that you strongly think about cashing out.

STAKING A HORSE, THE DEAL, AND WHAT TO EXPECT!

Ok so this if officially my first time staking a player. I have found a player that I feel is one of the better players around, at least one of the best players I know. He in the recent months has cashed out thousands upon thousands and put it away to live off for a very long time. So he has signed up a new account under my affiliate. Here are the term and conditions of the stake:

I staked him $500 to play $25 NL. He has played $5/$10 NL with regularity when playing with his prior bankroll. Once he builds the bankroll to $1550 we chop. I get $775 he gets $775. So I make 55% on my return. Pretty solid right?! But wait there is more! We split all the rake he generates until he reaches his goal. This gives him incentive to reach his goal and gives me a back-up if it takes him longer then expected. Once he ships the $755 from that day I go back to my regular rake policy.

What does everyone think of this deal?

Well now not only my are my friends givings me slack but also people who read this blog. I have finally moved up to $11 MTT's. I practice perfect bankroll management and get flack for it. O well, at least I will never go busto (I hope). So my results have left off right where then did with the $5 MTT's. $476 in 15 days with really no stress. Not too bad!

P.S.

Me and Sully have the sickest PROP bet on the golf course with two of our poker buddies. The bet is so sick another friend (Ryan) took us giving 3 to 10 odds. If we win he wins $300. If we lose Darrin gets $1k. I would imagine me a Sully win this bet 48 out of 50 times (maybe even more).

I am not sure even where to begin. I know there is a ton of variance in poker but this is getting crazy good. After 108 tourneys I am up $328 with an ROI of 50%. I know this is impossible to maintain but what would be a good ROI to expect? I could imagine 25% of so?? I feel with this format I am probably one of the best players around. My 94.94% ranking and 9,177 of 181,450 on FTP would sort of back that up. Any way if anyone knows what a great expected ROI in these types of tournaments are please let me know. I know the standard 15% in MTT's is considered Godly over a lifetime but these I feel might be a little different. They are somewhat MTT's but also considered $5 Sit N Go's. So let me know if anyone has any Idea of what some of the greats playing this format expect as an ROI.

102 ($5) 45 MAN MTT'S IN 11 DAYS

Well I have played 102 tourney in 11 days. I am up $240 averaging $21.80 profit per day. Being I play 6 tourney at a time I am averaging 2.57hrs of player per day. That being said I am making $8.48 per hr playing ($5) 45 man MTT's. LOL, not all that bad for playing poker and having fun. Below is a list of my cashes in the last 11 days.

So I have really been hitting up the $5 45 man MTT's as of late. I have played 84 of them since the 24th of Sept. So far I have been cashing in them with some pretty good success. I have an ROI of 42% and am up $217. This is a pretty solid for 8 days of play at $5 MTT's. So the question looms, am I running that good, or am I just good? It's hard to tell at this point. I continue to get my money in ahead or racing when it come to the final table. I have taken some horrid beats but I still manage to cash 23% of the time. MTT'S, STARTING TO HAVE FUN!

Well I have continued to play between 5 and 7 45 person $5+$.50 tournaments each day. I have finally made some final tables and doing quite well. I won another one yesterday! I have also played in the $10 Midnight Madness each day. That tourney is frustrating, but its just the variance of poker. I have busted out near the bubble twice now losing as a pretty big favorite each time. Yesterday I lost with A9s on then button to 98 off in the big blind. I had 9.5 bb and was really glad to see his cards when he called. Of course he hit runner runner for a 8 high strait (sigh). One day I will cash big in the Midnight Madness!

MTT'S, MOVING, AND A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING!

So it's been a few days since I last posted. Since then it has been kind of crazy. With moving, setting up cable, getting new furniture, and buying a new bed I am really just wore out! On the poker side I have started to play MTT's a little more. Let me tell you from experience that, "DAMN MTT'S CAN BE FRUSTRATING!" The beauty of them is that most of the players are so bad it just takes time to make good a cash. Busting out on the bubble as 85% fav can only happen so many times. Any who, so I have played about 27 tournaments in the last 7 days and finally after yesterday I got my ROI to +18%. I know 27 tourney's is a small small sample but it feels good after the horrid beats I was taking on the bubble. Below are my results from yesterday! I cashed in 3 of my 8 tourney's!

MOVING, CASHING OUT BANKROLL, PLAYING MIRCO LIMITS!

So a lot has been going on the last few weeks. I have just signed on my very own apt! I am getting a 2 bedroom all to myself, but a fellow full time poker player may move in for a few months. Due to the move and me needing new furniture, and new bed, and a little bit of everything, I have cashed out most of my bankroll. I currently only have about $450 left in Epassport and a little under $100 in FTP.

Here is my plan:

With this small bankroll I will be playing the Miro Limits and building it back up. During my building process I plan on cashing out 10% of my bankroll every 15th of the month after Rake Back. My goal is to start playing mainly 2 tables and develop a LAG style of play with VPIP around 30% or higher. I believe this is necessary to be a great player in the bigger games.

So the quest begins. Along with my AFFILIATE PROGRAM going strong I hope to have a great last quarter of the year!

So I have to kind of blame Caleb for this one. He said, and I quote, "DO IT, play some SNG." And from there the legend was born. So yes, I played 96 Sit N Go's in a 24hr span. How sickly, get a life! 12 tabling is not all that bad if you can mentally keep taking the worse beats of all time! So how did I do in the 96 Sit N Go's I played you might ask? Check out the stats below, I think they are pretty solid!

I think that a ROI of 18% is pretty good and is what can be expected if I keep up the good play. Actually anywhere between 12-18% is pretty solid!

WOW FOR SIT & GO'S

So I was talking with one of my Clients/Friends, who signed up under my Affiliate program, about Sit N Go's. When he plays them he plays $55 - $220 12 tabling. His ROI is around 9-10% which in my opinion is really good. Say he plays 12 $110 Sit N Go's at a ROI of 1o%......yeah that's $132 every 12 Sit N Go's and he can play 12 an hr with out much trouble. Any who he is a stud, getting to my point, I decided to give this a try. I would classify myself as an above avg Sit N Go player with an good knowledge base of the style of game. So I decided to try 12 tabling $5 Sit N Go's for something different. HERE ARE MY SICK RESULTS!

As you can see my blog has change some in the last month or so. I have still been playing a lot of poker but not doing all that well. I have been running really bad as of late but still enjoy grinding it out like the best of them.

To the right will you notice I have now become an affiliate at two of the Premier pokers sites around. This is an exciting time as I have just signed up my first 3 players. My goal is to treat them better then any other affiliate can.
