DAY 142

Well So I am running really cold to start this level and it is really starting to effect my play. In my 900 hands at this level I have made 5 terrible calls costing me $149. It is not so much the bad beats for $197.57 that bothers me, it's the fact that I let it effect my play. There is no excuse, I need to stay focused. To call off 1.5 buy-ins in 900 hands is just terrible. Need to start playing better and turn things around!

BAD BEATS CON'T:

HAND 1 Not much I can do. I'm a 64% fav going to river.

hey Jon, I see you using that tool a lot. But just understand there are some bugs that makes the calculation inaccurate.

I'll quote this from the author, just keep this in mind:

"the program is inaccurate at the moment because:
- it doesnt consider hands where more than 2 people go to showdown
- sidepots make the final potsize bigger than it should be, i.e. you get a small stack allin on the flop, but another player u play against folds on the river after some more betting, so your equity vs the shortstack is calculated by using the potsize that partly consists of the third players bets. but the wrong potsizes shouldnt be biased towards good / bad luck i guess.
- consider a hand where you bet 95% of your stack preflop with AA vs KK and the flop comes king high and u put in the rest of your chips drawing very thin. actually u got unlucky but the allin-street was the flop so it wont be considered unlucky since u got it allin drawing very slim."

neb,

I understand and read that too, but none of that has occured in the last few hands I have been in. I have been a pretty big fav in 4 of my 5 all-ins and only won 2. My equity in those hands is correct however that is still no excuse to play as bad as I have been. Thanks for the info however!

Can you post a link to the software to analyze running hot or cold?

nevermind I found it on 2p2. believe it or not, I'm running even worse than you are both short term and over the last 18 months.

Ya if you could post a link to that program I would really appreciate it! I want to get it out of curiosity.
