Another day where I really can't hit any flops. I lost 8 pots over $20 and only won 4 pots over $30. I had one really really big pot that got my session back. $197.15 pot with set over set. Finally I am on the good end!
BIG HAND OF THE DAY! Very nice to be on the good end of set over set!

Nice pot there Jon. Caught you blog from your CR sig. Just wondering what your logic for the c/r on the flop was there. Was this oppenent specific, i.e. he is pretty aggresive and you almost know he is going to bet there if you check. Anyway, I am enjoying your blog as I am playing at these levels right now $25NL and $50NL occastionally and is good to see that in the long run it can be beaten even if donkeys are chasing with crazy draws. GoodLuck.
Graham,
Yeah sometimes I will c/r a really big hand when I have two people behind me and the board is draw heavy. In this case there was as flush draw on board and 2 people to act behind me. If either of them have 4 to a flush they are betting as it looks like I have AK. Not Very often will I do this, but the board texture and opponents in the hand were just perfect.
Jon,
Nice hand there. I would expect people with draws to check behind and try to catch them or raise you and try to push you off the hand.
Hope things are going well!

Just curious if you have re-evaluated your goal of 50k in under one year and set a different one, or if you are still set on making 50k this year?
Adam,
Funny you say that. I was just thinking about that myself. Let me give a little update. In my whole challenge I have to win a total 241 buy-ins. As of now I am about 1/3 of the way through my challenge. This means I should be up about 80 buy-ins if I am on pace. At this time I am up 76 buy-ins with running bad and playing pretty bad as of late. I will stick with my Challege goal and re-evaluate it at about he half way mark. I am really not that far behind though.
